Freeform dreadlocks vs. twisted dreadlocks

Freeform dreadlocks vs. twisted dreadlocks

Locks are unique, as well as distinguished when it comes to talking about their history. Numerous cultures have various reasons as to why they choose to wear a crown of locks. Here is a picture of manicured/twisted dreadlocks.

Basically you get the new growth of the hair twisted or tighten to make it look nice and neat, but twisting it does not make the hair lock, it locks on its on naturally.
Freeform/Natural dreadlocks are just dreadlocks that you don't manipulate.  You just wash and let your hair do what it naturally do.  There is no twisting, no combing, no gels, no oils, beeswax, or butters.  Your hair will natural form dreadlocks on its own if you have patience and let it. Twisted dreadlocks or manicured is the complete opposite of freeform dreadlocks.

Lenny Kravitz and Bob Marley had some of the most legendary freeform/natural dreadlocks.
